That painful first step...
Ever stood up from your desk - after sitting for hours
- and it 'hurt like hell'?
Sometimes it's your feet that hurt, sometimes it's your hips!
Every day something else seems to hurt more. And,
the older you get - & the longer you sit - the worse it gets!
That could be a very big sign that your
sitting posture is poor, or you have been at the desk
far too long, and most probably with very poor posture.
WARNING to Employers
Airlines are keenly aware of the deep vein
thrombosis hazard and are careful to warn their passengers against
the dangers.
Should a student or employee be allowed to sit for too
long....or
worse, encouraged to stay at the table or work-bench for 'long than normal' periods...the
employer could be negligent for not warning against this serious hazard
WorkCover, Occupational Health & Safety Officers, even
your local Council, now has marvelous information for employees &
employers worried about sitting or working for too long in one static
position.
Education is the best tool against
back-pain.
