QUICK TIPThe Rider's Seat Bones

This simple tip is a bit of homework for you, and suitable to improve all sports:

Get in the car and drive around a round about, or corner.  (This works on a bus as well).

The two bones at the left and right that you sit on are called your 'seat bones'.

The question is:  Which seatbone gets heavier on the turns...Left or right?

Becoming aware of the pelvis is a vital part of training in any sport.  In horse riding it is vital.

There's your lesson tip for today:
which seatbone gets heavier, left or right?
(beginner horse riders can experiment on corners... lean in and see which front foot gets heavier...inside or outside.  Advanced riders can experiment in pirouettes!  You can loose marks for losing balance: having one foot 'over-weighted'.
